Syaikh DR. Su’ud bin Ibrahim as-Syuraim
Lahir pada tahun 1386 H, di Saqra’ Riyadh.
Beliau kuliah pada fakultas Ushuluddin di Jami’ah al-Imam Muhammad bin Su’ud al-Islamiyah. Lulus pada tahun 1409 H, kemudian melanjutkan jenjang pendidikannya di Ma’had ‘Ali untuk para hakim, hingga beliau mendapatkan gelar Magister pada tahun 1413 H.
Pekerjaan beliau, mantan hakim, pengajar di Masjidil Haram, Dekan fakultas Syari’ah di Jami’ah Ummul Qura’ Makkah.
Tahun penentuan beliau sebagai Imam di Masjidil Haram adalah tahun 1414 H.
Beliau memiliki sejumlah besar onta, yang beliau habiskan sebagian waktu dengannya.
Beliau memberikan perhatian besar dalam mensyarah kitab Tauhid di Masjidil Haram.
Beliau terkenal dengan syair dan kalimat-kalimat yang lembut yang menyentuh.
Diantara karya tulis beliau adalah al-Syamil fil Khathib wal-Khuthbah, sudah diterjemah ke dalam bahasa Indonesia dan diedit oleh Ustadz Agus Hasan Bashori (pimred Qiblati) dengan judul Ensiklopedi Khuthbah atau panduan khathib, atas izin beliau oleh penerbit Darus sunnah Jakarta.
